Bicho core, the JavaScript, PHP, Rust, and Python SDKs, and the Astro integration are open-source software under the Apache License, Version 2.0. Their copyright notices identify Alex Zappa (FreshJuice).

## Software licenses

The license shipped with each version is the controlling text:

- [Bicho core LICENSE](https://github.com/bicho-fyi/bicho/blob/main/LICENSE).
- [JavaScript SDK LICENSE](https://github.com/bicho-fyi/bicho-javascript/blob/main/LICENSE).
- [PHP SDK LICENSE](https://github.com/bicho-fyi/bicho-php/blob/main/LICENSE).
- [Rust SDK LICENSE](https://github.com/bicho-fyi/bicho-rust/blob/main/LICENSE).
- [Python SDK LICENSE](https://github.com/bicho-fyi/bicho-python/blob/main/LICENSE).
- [Astro integration LICENSE](https://github.com/bicho-fyi/bicho-astro/blob/main/LICENSE).
- [Full Apache License 2.0 text](https://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0).

Apache-2.0 allows personal and commercial use, modification, and distribution subject to its conditions. If you redistribute the software, include the license, retain applicable copyright and attribution notices, identify modified files, and preserve any applicable NOTICE information. The license also includes a patent grant and conditions governing its termination. Read the full text rather than relying on this summary.

The software is provided on an “AS IS” basis under the license’s warranty disclaimer and limitation-of-liability terms, subject to applicable law. The open-source license is not a hosting agreement or a promise of support.

## Third-party acknowledgements

See the [acknowledgements page](/acknowledgements/) for protocol, Sentry SDK, and vendored-schema credits, with links to upstream licenses and each SDK’s notices.

Core includes OpenTelemetry and protobuf schema definitions with their own retained notices. See [core acknowledgements](https://github.com/bicho-fyi/bicho/blob/main/ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS.md) and the [vendored protocol sources](https://github.com/bicho-fyi/bicho/tree/main/src/vendor/otlp).

The SDK’s [acknowledgements](https://github.com/bicho-fyi/bicho-javascript/blob/main/ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS.md) describe its applicable third-party context. Acknowledgement does not replace a required license or attribution notice. Dependencies and bundled materials retain their own licenses.

## Website content, fonts, and branding

The software licenses do not automatically license every part of this website. Check the license or permission attached to the particular repository, document, or asset you intend to reuse. Where no license or permission is stated, do not assume that publishing it here grants unrestricted redistribution rights.

General Sans is supplied by Fontshare and has its own [Fontshare license](https://www.fontshare.com/licenses). That license is separate from the software’s Apache-2.0 license.

Apache-2.0 does not generally grant permission to use trade names, trademarks, service marks, or product names beyond the uses described in section 6 of the license. Do not imply that a fork, service, or product is endorsed by Bicho or FreshJuice. Ask about logo or branding reuse rather than assuming software permissions cover it.

## Hosted website and contact

The documentation website and its public MCP endpoint are covered by the [website terms](/terms/) and [website privacy notice](/privacy/). Those pages do not change the rights granted by the software licenses.

For licensing or attribution questions, open an issue on [GitHub](https://github.com/bicho-fyi/bicho/issues). Include the repository, package version, or asset you mean. Please do not share personal information, credentials, or private error data.
